Yes. All hyaluronic acid lip fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, usually within days. We offer this as a treatment in its own right for migration, overfilling or simply changing your mind. Knowing it is reversible is the reason we can afford to be conservative.

Hyaluronic acid filler has a strong safety record when placed by a trained medical injector. Common effects are temporary: swelling, bruising, tenderness and small lumps that settle within two weeks. The serious risk is vascular occlusion — product entering a vessel and blocking blood flow. It is uncommon, but lips are a higher-risk area, which is why injector training and immediate access to hyaluronidase matter more than price.

Only if too much product is used or it is placed in the wrong layer. Our approach is one syringe, placed conservatively, reviewed at two weeks. Adding a little more is straightforward. Dissolving and starting again is not, and it costs you both money and a fortnight.

At least two weeks before, and ideally three. Swelling is heaviest in the first 48 hours and bruising can last a week. Booking lips the week of a wedding or holiday is the most common regret we hear about.

If medically safe, stop fish oil, vitamin E and ibuprofen for about five days beforehand and skip alcohol for 24 hours. Never stop prescribed blood thinners without speaking to your doctor. Afterwards, ice gently, sleep slightly elevated the first night, and avoid heat, exercise and alcohol for 24 to 48 hours.

When it has genuinely faded — usually every nine to twelve months. Topping up every three or four months, before the previous product has broken down, is how lips end up overfilled and migrated. We will tell you if you have come back too early.
