When those muscles soften, the skin above them creases less — so forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet look smoother while your natural expression stays intact.
Botox works on dynamic lines — the ones that appear when you move. It is measured in units, and the number of units depends on the area treated and your muscle strength, which is why Botox is priced per unit rather than as a flat fee. At our Carlsbad studio the same product is also used to slim the jawline, ease TMJ-related clenching, lift the brow, flip the lip and reduce underarm sweating.

- If medically appropriate and cleared by your physician, avoid blood thinners, NSAIDs, fish oil and alcohol for 24–48 hours to reduce bruising.

- Stay upright for about 4 hours — no lying down or face-down massage.
